You’ve a long way to go unless you keep the systems really simple, but it’s worth it in the end. You’ll know every bit of the plumbing, wiring and other systems in a way nobody else will, and you’ll know the reasons for every decision (even those that make no sense in retrospect – BTDTGTTS)
